"Ar-bore"

Films: Arbor Demon (2016)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Somewhere in the woods, camouflage is everything. It can mean the difference between a success and a failure for a hunt, or life and death. And then, there are the predators that can forgo it anytime just to get to the good bit.

History: Many centuries ago in an American forest, a tribe of warriors kidnapped a pregnant girl from a rival tribe, and sacrificed her to a bear in order to end a famine. She gave birth just in time before death, and a few years later, more pregnant women began to disappear. It is said that her spirit still haunts the woods as a beast of arbor, bad news for a married couple...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: It is later revealed that there's a whole tribe of arbor demons, no doubt the people that have been converted by the first. The sole survivor joins their ranks, and births a child, ensuring that the tribe's future remains unimpeded.

Powers/Abilities: Arbor demons can infect people with barbs that turn them into one of them. They mostly target pregnant women in order to convert the offspring as well.

Weakness: Unknown.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-The arbor demons are certainly off-putting creatures, looking like being made of dead moss and bark. Seeing them in an oddly sophisticated tribe at the end, complete with chief, is surreal by itself. But what's terrifying is how they can either kill you, or slowly and painfully make you into one of them.

Trivia: -This film's original title was "Enclosure".

-This film was shot on location at Charleston, South Carolina.
